Good quality

Great size. Will hold several bottles of makeup etc. Folds easily for storage. Zippers go to end of each side for great access. Would purchase again.

Center handle in the way.

I love this brand so much but didn’t love how the center of it when open is in the way of getting stuff out of the bag. It would be better to have two sections with that there but it’s just in the way.

A pretty bag with a couple of flaws

I ordered this soft and lovely cosmetic bag in Ivory. After I received it I loved it even more than when I ordered it! It's so pretty you'll probably end up using it at home, and not saving it just for travel. Although it does have a couple of negative aspects to it, you may use it in spite of those flaws. It's made in an unusual way. When you unzip both sides of the bag they flop down so the whole thing is open except for a not-so-narrow panel that goes all the way across the top and down to the bottom. The handle is attached to the top of this panel and this panel Does impede your reach as far as things that are underneath it. Not sure why that was part of the design! I like that there are two smaller zippered sections on one side and on the other side of the bag is an open pouch in 2 sections. The rest of the inside is one large open area to put whatever you want. Now when you come to the 'zipping it back up to close it' part, things get iffy. You cannot just zip it back up, just like that. The roomy pleats in the fabric that lines the bag, that allows it to open almost flatly, well, that fabric does not disappear when it's time to zip up the bag. So the only way you can zip the bag up without catching the material in the zipper, is to tuck everything in first. We're talking about 6 fabric pleats, and every one of them needs to be tucked in carefully. Who is alive who has never caught fabric or skin in a zipper before? Nobody. That's right. So we all know that the minute something is caught in a zipper the zipper will not move any further. And sometimes when you try to back the zipper off whatever it's caught on it will tear up whatever it's caught on. So, if you want to keep this bag in good shape you must put all six of those pleats back on the inside of the bag every single time you need to close it. That will most definitely be a hassle for most people, but what's the option? Leave it open forever? How you gonna travel with it then? So unless you can figure out a way to rig it (think maybe a stapler, Safety pins) so that the pleats don't open all the way, you will probably stop using this bag very quickly. To rig it up will cheapen the whole look of it. That would really bug me. And anyhow, if the pleats don't open all the way, then you won't have free access to everything that's inside because it will not open flat. So the very thing that makes it so convenient and unique is so annoying that it will cause you to stop using the bag. This is a design flaw plain and simple. I believe that the people who design these things never use even the prototype. Because if they did, the first use would show the major flaw. Wait, a light bulb just clicked on in my brain! If you carefully cut out all the pleats you would eliminate that issue. It would create a new issue though, but not as big. If you remove the pleats then when you open the bag and it lays down flat maybe some things might fall out the sides. Especially if you have it jam-packed full of make-up. On the outside of the bag the fittings are gold colored, with a pretty round gold dangly hanging from each zipper. The famous designer named William Morris wrote in the 1800's that we should have nothing in our home that is not useful and beautiful. I really believe that too, which explains why I can be picky at times.. im jus sayin...
